My name is Cecilia Andersson. I grew up in a tiny village, not far from the small town Vimmerby, in the small country of Sweden. Have you heard of Pippi Longstocking? Astrid Lindgren, the author grew up here and many of her stories are set in the surroundings of Vimmerby. Now I live in Höör another small town in Sweden.
I grew up with the forest surrounding and most of my inspiration I get from there. My desire is never to copy nature, it stands for it self. My desire is to depict it in my own “language” and celebrate it my own way. I use different techniques in my work because I like mixing different materials. Most of my art is abstract. In my work I want to highlight the unseen and seek a balance between control and the unforeseen.
Education: I studied textile design at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås.
